Well, I'm out on the road for Turkey Day but I had a choice of home or Deer hunting, I guess the hunting won. This is the first Thanksgiving I've missed since I was in the Military but I don't think I'll miss another one. I've added some videos so You can have a peek into the life of an over the road Trucker. The first is My delivery in Lancaster, Ny. and the second is My pick up in Holland, Ny. in a lake effect snow, a beautiful white day. The third is of a truck stop in Erie, Pa. The Harbor Creek TA.I am showing the Idleaire service, this is where We get cable tv, internet and phone service, also there is electrical power.

Deer Season
Hello,
I have been home for 7 days and Iwill head out again on Monday the 24th of november until sometime in December. Maybe in time to do some hunting during muzzleloader season.
I was home this time to go regular deer season but only saw a spike buck but what to hell it was better than being on the road.

Back on The Road
Hello,
I got home from Laredo on the 8th of Oct. and stayed home for 10 days. The color in Vermont was nice this year, I love the fall season.
I didn't really want to be home this long but I got alot of things done.
I got the rest of the firewood bucked, split & stacked with help from the better half.
I had to replace a cirulater pump on the furnace, I brought some antiques to the auction house. I put a new handle on my axe, mowed the lawn, put the snow thrower on the ol' John Deere tractor.
Now I am in Ridgeway VA(across from Martinsville Speedway)waiting for my next load to who knows where.

Still in Laredo
I'm still here and this town sucked yesterday and still sucks today.
I suppose I could go look for a bar but I would just get Myself in trouble.
I'm getting paid for 500 miles each day I sit but it's driving Me nuts.
They have a movie house here but the movies are probably in Spanish and subtitled in English. Down here English is a second language.
It's still America....the greatest Country in the World.
My oldest Daughter became an Alaskan resident the other day and She is happy as hell.
I love You Sweety and Your hairdo looks good.

My trailer is on it's way to Mexico City and I got to wait.

New Tractor
Well, I got My "new" truck on Sept 11th(My personal tragedy on our nations greatest tragedy), My new truck had 46,000 miles on it already.
It's an International Prostar piece of shit!
I don't really care for the thing. There is no storage space, the drivers door leaks when the truck is parked and it's raining.
It has a Cummins 435hp de-nutted to 68mph with an Eaton/Fuller 10 speed.
I pulled a 40,000 lb load on the 12th from Pawpaw Mi. to Pottsville Pa. and it seemed to do ok.
I have some pics of the truck with My Wife & I.
We found it hard to sleep in this truck because We went from a Freightliner Century class with a condo and two bunks to this junk with only one. I am 6' tall and weigh 330lbs. and My wife is no midget either. The company I drive for could have cared less, they pretty much said f--k'em!I think I'll be looking for a new job soon.
Other than this, Shippers, Recievers and the DOT trucking is great!
